Dzisiejsze słowo dnia: Private vs public companies
Tłumaczenie/Polski odpowiednik: nienotowane i notowane spółki
Przykłady użycia: (przykładowe zdania) Private companies - such as prioprietorships and private limited companies (Ltd.) – are not available for sale on the stock exchange. The owners have to decide to sell, so they have more control over the direction of their company, and they can agree for a price they like or refuse to sell. Public companies – such as public limited companies (plc) – are listed on the stock exchange which means their shares are available to buy at market-determined rates. An owner (say, someone owning 20% of the shares) cannot usually decide who buys other shares and cannot directly influence the price. The shares of a public company are, we can say, in a ‘shop’ and anyone can buy who presents the money.
